Charges against an Allen Independent School District middle school teacher accused of indecency with a child have been dismissed.
According to court documents, the Collin County District Attorney's Office filed a motion to dismiss against the Curtis Middle School teacher "in the interest of justice."
In August 2022, the district said they were "unable to sustain the allegation. However, in an abundance of caution, Allen ISD followed up on its investigation by notifying Child Protective Services (CPS) of the incident."
The district said that since its investigation, the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center and additional police agencies became involved and were able to gain additional information.
