The recall applies to Black & Decker brand Spacemaker 12-cup programmable under-the-cabinet coffee makers, designed to mount under a cabinet.
The CPSC is warning consumers that the coffee pot handle can break off, causing cuts and burns. Approximately 159,000 units were sold throughout the U.S. between July 2008 and May 2012 between $50 and $80.
The Miramar, Fla. company has received more than 1,200 reports of handles breaking off and about 70 reports of cuts or burns. Click here for more details about the coffee maker.
