For the second time, Arlington firefighters battled a fire at the Creative Arts and Theater School building on Randol Mill Road.
At about 3 a.m. Monday, firefighters were called to the vacant building with reports of thick, black smoke coming from the facility.
The school has been vacant since 2012, when the school moved to a new location on E. South Street following a fire that damaged much of the building.
Since that time the building has been slated for demolition and the land up for sale, though plans to sell the building had been in place since before the first fire.
Fire officials have not said what sparked the fire Monday morning.
No injuries were reported in connection with the fire and, since the building was vacant, damage is expected to be minimal.
NBC 5's Josh Ault contributed to this report.
