Potbellied Pig's Owner Comes Forward

A pot-bellied pig, named Bacon, was reunited with her owner on Tuesday. Bacon escaped through a hole in the fence.

Arlington police say the owner of a potbellied pig found roaming the streets Friday has come forward to claim the pig.

The female pig, named, appropriatelyl, "Bacon," was wandering the neighborhood near Kent Drive and Sherry Street in East Arlington Friday at around noon.

Arlington Animal Services told NBC 5 the pig's owner, a 17-year-old girl, and her mother will claim Bacon sometime Tuesday afternoon.

Police assumed Bacon was someone's pet since she would get upset if someone wasn't constantly petting her.

The city said it received interest from people who wanted to adopt the potbellied pig if the owner didn't come forward.
