An Amber Alert issued for three missing Collin County children is discontinued. Princeton Police say the children have been found safe and their mother has been arrested.
On Thursday afternoon, police in Princeton issued an Amber Alert after they said they were dispatched to a "suspicious circumstance" at about 11 a.m. on Dec. 20 where three juveniles left their home with their biological mother who did not have rights to the children due to bond conditions and a protective order.
NBC 5 has learned the woman had an active warrant for violating a protective order. In August and October, the woman was accused of continuous family violence and abandoning/endangering a child/criminal negligence.
Princeton Police said at about 4:30 p.m. that detectives worked with the Plano Police Department to follow up on a tip and that they were able to locate the missing children and their mother. Police said the woman was arrested on related charges, though no further details were provided.
