Amber Alert

AMBER Alert discontinued for 13-year-old Princeton girl

Law enforcement officials did not offer additional information, only that she had been found

NBCUniversal, Inc.

The AMBER Alert was born in 1996 when local media teamed up with local police to develop an early warning system to find abducted children following the abduction and brutal murder of 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, of Arlington.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says an AMBER Alert for a 13-year-old Princeton girl last seen early Saturday morning has been discontinued.

The girl had last been seen at around 2:40 a.m. Saturday.

The statewide AMBER Alert was discontinued late Saturday night, with the DPS saying she had been found.

Because she was found, the child's name, description, and image have been removed from this story.
