USPS Fort Worth Holds Job Fair Monday Through Wednesday

The U.S. Postal Service is sponsoring a series of job fairs throughout the month of September within the Fort Worth District.

The USPS is accepting applications for Rural Carrier Associates (RCAs), City Carrier Assistants (CCAs), Assistant Rural Carriers (ARCs), and Postal Support Employees (PSEs) Retail Associates and PSE Mail Processing Clerks (MPC) and Mail Handler Associates (MHA).

Scheduled workdays for these positions will vary, depending on the position and locations. Salaries range from $16.00 to $17.78 an hour.

If you are experienced or interested in automotive technology, the Postal Service is also accepting applications for Automotive Technicians. The Automotive Technician positions are a full-time career opportunity with a starting salary of $44,525.00, plus benefits.

During the job fairs, additional information will be available that will provide specific details about the positions available to attendees.

The job fairs will be held at the following locations and at the following dates and times.

  • Sept. 9-11, 4600 Mark IV Parkway, Fort Worth, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sept. 16-17, 6004 Martha Sharpe Freeway, Lubbock, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sept. 18, 1515 Crickets Ave., Lubbock, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sept. 23-25, 2301 South Ross, Amarillo, from    9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Sept. 30 - Oct. 2 341 Pine St., Abilene, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For people unable to attend the job fair, Postal Service positions are being posted online at www.usps.com/employment under the "search jobs and apply online section."

Computers will be made available for potential applicants to submit their applications on-line and printed job application guides will also be available. Attendees will need a current email address to successfully complete the online application process.

Applicants for driving positions must have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of continuous documented driving history/experience. To meet the U. S. Postal Service's requirement to be drug free, qualified applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment screening and drug screening. In addition, applicants must also be a U. S. Citizen or have permanent residence alien status.
