A man was shot and killed Monday afternoon after returning to the scene of a fight armed with a handgun, police say.
Fort Worth police said at least two people were involved in a verbal spat that escalated into a physical fight at about 3:30 p.m. on the 800 block of 15th Street.
At some point, police said, one of the men involved in the fight left, only to return armed with a handgun. That person was then fatally shot by an unidentified person who ran from the scene.
The shooting victim, identified Tuesday by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office as 31-year-old Dametrick Holman, was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Investigators have not said what led to the fight and have not confirmed any other information about the shooter.
