Seven juveniles and two adults were arrested after two break-ins at Fort Worth schools late Sunday.
Fort Worth police received a burglary in progress call at Atwood McDonald Elementary School at 7:15 p.m. Sunday.
A computer and a window were damaged in the burglary, and six juveniles were arrested, police said.
Christine Ely said her 12-year-old son, a fifth-grader at the school, was among the six arrested.
"I'm angry, because you don't raise your kids that way," she said. I'm a working parent; I give them the best I can. They know what's right and wrong so, as far as a parent, I'm mad about it because I would think he would use his mind more rather than to not use it at all.
Her son said they entered the school from the roof, she said.
In the second incident, Fort Worth police were dispatched to Paschal High School at 11:05 p.m. Sunday in reference to a burglary in progress.
