It's day 2 of the 2017 State Fair of Texas. Here's 5 things you need to know before heading to the fair on Saturday.
- The 2017 State Fair of Texas Pie Competition. The bake off is held in the Creative Arts Competition Kitchen. There are 7 different categories including Chocolate, Citrus, Cream, Chess, Buttermilk, Nut & Sugar Free. The judging takes place at 10:30 Saturday morning.
- From 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., you can check out "I Spy Texas" inside the Briscoe Livestock Center. Here you can learn more about agriculture and it's significance on our everyday lives.
- You can also check out the "Lone Star Stampede" inside the Pan Am Arena. There are 4 show times on Saturday, 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m. & 6 p.m.
- The United States Marines Drum & Bugle Corps will perform at 4 p.m. You can catch the performance at Marine Corps Square.
- Stay late to see Flo Rida on the Chevrolet Main Stage. The rapper will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The best part, admission to the show is included with your daily state fair admission.
