An 18-wheeler caught fire on Interstate 20, according to authorities, slowing traffic in Dallas Wednesday morning. [[332662041,C]]
Dallas Fire-Rescue officials said the 18-wheeler hit the wall on eastbound I-20 near South Lancaster Road just after 8 a.m. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire by about 8:40 a.m.
At 10:15 a.m., police said the eastbound lanes would be closed for about two more hours.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Police said the driver of the 18-wheeler was transported to a hospital as a precaution.
