Fortune Magazine has released its annual list of the Top 500 companies in America and 18 of them are in North Texas.
ExxonMobil is No. 2 on this year's list, topped only by Walmart. The gas and oil giant brought in nearly $450 billion in 2012.
Among the other North Texas-based companies to make the list, AT&T, AMR, Southwest Airlines, Fluor and J.C. Penney.
The 18 Fortune 500 companies collectively brought in more than $794 billion last year.
