A young child is recovering after being attacked by a stray dog Thursday evening, Dallas police said.
An ambulance was dispatched the 400 block of North Oak Cliff Boulevard at 6:15 p.m. for reports of an animal attack.
A 10-year-old boy was taken to Children's Medical Center in Dallas for a puncture wound to his arm, according to police.
A person who lives on that street said children frequently play outdoors, and the boy was out there planning to meet his friends.
The dog still hasn't been found.
The investigation is ongoing.
