A Grand Prairie outlet mall opening late this summer be home to some of the best names in fashion.
More than 100 stores -- including outlets of Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue and Banana Republic -- will be a part of Paragon Outlets Grand Prairie.
"It's a great boom for the local economy," said Bob Brvenik, Paragon Outlet Partners principal.
Brvenik said the 420,000-square-foot shopping center located at State Highway 360 and Interstate 20 will attract people from outside Grand Prairie and Arlington.
"Outlet centers can typically draw from up to 50 miles from their location, so there will be a lot of new faces in Grand Prairie who will come and see the area and enjoy it and recognize all the advantages that we have," he said.
Customers from around the world are also expected, Brvenik said.
"The Dallas/Fort Worth area attracts a lot of out-of-state and international customers also, and this will just be a part of their experience," he said.

The outlet center will bring 1,700 permanent jobs to the area.
"This project will do a couple hundred million dollars a year in sales, which will result in sales tax revenue, and we will be paying real estate taxes, also," Brvenik said.
Paragon Outlets Grand Prairie's grand opening is scheduled for Aug. 16-19.
