It was Tuesday morning and WBAP’s Steve Lamb couldn’t get the words out right during his morning sports reports.

He came home and laughed about it with his wife, NBC5 morning anchor Deborah Ferguson. She insisted he go to the doctor but he convinced her he was fine. After she went to bed, Steve called friends and they took him to the hospital.

One look at the MRI and doctors immediately diagnosed a stroke and performed a series of tests and procedures to help Steve recover.
