Woman, 67, Dies After Being Hit by Vehicle on I-20 in Southeast Dallas

A 67-year-old woman died after being struck by a car on a southeast Dallas highway late Sunday or early Monday.The Dallas County Sheriff's Department was called Monday about a fatal crash on westbound Interstate 20 between Dowdy Ferry and St. Augustine roads.Authorities said the 67-year-old woman, who had either been walking on the left shoulder or crossing the highway, had been struck by a vehicle between 10 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday.The sheriff's department did not release the woman's name but said authorities are looking for her car, a grey 2012 Toyota Corolla with Texas license plate DRT 4524.Authorities did not have a description of the vehicle that struck the woman.Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the sheriff's department at 214-589-2335 or 214-749-8641.  Continue reading...
