Suspect Drives Onto Dallas Morning News Lawn, Tries to Get Into WFAA Building Downtown, Police Say

A suspect tried to get into WFAA's building downtown after driving a car onto the lawn of The Dallas Morning News overnight, police said. Officers initially responded to a WFAA-TV (Channel 8) building in the 600 block of Young Street, near Reunion Tower, for a major disturbance about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday. They found the car abandoned next door on grass a few feet from the front of The News' building. It narrowly missed striking a concrete sign with "The Dallas Morning News" engraved on it. The suspect took off on foot and went around to the back entrance of the WFAA building, trying to get inside, police said. Officers detained him and his car was towed. No additional information has been released.  Continue reading...
