A weak August cold front triggered widespread scattered showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday. The rain was very welcome, and it was accompanied by some temporary relief from the heat. For at least one day, the DFW temperature topped out below the normal high of 97.But it's still August and we're not quite done with summer heat just yet.
