Man Killed After Crashing Car Head-on Into Minivan in North Richland Hills

A man was ejected from his vehicle and killed Monday night after crashing head-on into an oncoming minivan in North Richland Hills. Shortly before 7 p.m., officers were called to the 8600 block of North Tarrant Parkway, at Saddlebrook Court, where a white two-door sedan was "in multiple pieces" with the rear on fire, police said. The driver of the sedan had been ejected from the car, and died at the scene. His identity has not been released. The driver of a minivan that was also significantly damaged was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening. Three other vehicles swerved to miss the accident, however, no one in those vehicles was injured, police said. Witnesses told police the sedan was speeding east on North Tarrant when they heard a "pop." The sedan lost control and rolled across the center median into oncoming traffic where it struck the minivan head on.
