A man who stopped to help another motorist with a flat tire was fatally struck by a woman thought to be driving drunk, police said.Lavander Leon Hammon Jr., 26, had stopped to tend to the disabled car on northbound Walton Walker Boulevard, near Singleton Boulevard, just after 10 p.m. Wednesday, KTVT-TV (CBS11) reported.Dallas Police Senior Corporal Tramese Jones told the station that Hammon had replaced the tire and was putting away his tools when a Chrysler 200 drove onto the shoulder, "crushing him" against his own car and killing him.The driver of the Chrysler, which burst into flames after the collision, was identified only as a 45-year-old black female.
