Jesuit Shuts Down for Two Days Because of Flu Outbreak

The flu outbreak in North Texas has hit another school hard, prompting the closure of Jesuit High School on Tuesday and Wednesday.All on-campus activities are canceled to allow time for staff to disinfect campus spaces, KXAS-TV (Channel 5) reported.The closure of Jesuit follows weeklong shutdowns of the Gunter and Bonham school districts. Bonham is expected to resume classes Wednesday.Jesuit officials expect activities to resume normally by 4 p.m. Wednesday, KTVT-TV (Channel 11) reported.All home athletic competitions have been cancelled, but road games involving Jesuit teams will go on as scheduled, CBS11 reported.It is unclear how many students and staff have been hit by the flu at Jesuit, KDFW-TV (Channel 4) reported.  Continue reading...
