Houston-area Man Claims Self-defense After Killing Neighbor Whose Dog Was in His Yard

A southeast Texas man is claiming self-defense after fatally shooting his neighbor after her dog ran into his yard.Hector Campos, 43, of Spring was arrested Tuesday and charged with the murder of Ana Weed, KHOU-TV reports. He has since posted $50,000 bond.At Campos' arraignment in a Harris County court Thursday, Weed's family got into a heated argument with Campos and sheriff's deputies had to break up the situation, according to KPRC-TV.Weed's family said the 53-year-old was attempting to retrieve her dog when Campos shot her once in the chest.
