Dallas Park Board member Yolanda Williams announced Thursday she will resign and hinted that she'd run for City Council.Williams, 50, has been on the board since Jan. 2014, appointed by outgoing City Council member Rickey Callahan, who represents Pleasant Grove. Williams praised fellow board members and city staff in her closing comments, saying she never dreamed of being able to improve the recreation centers she used as a child growing up in southern Dallas.When asked by colleagues about her post-resignation plans, Williams hinted at a run for Callahan’s open seat, saying that people would find out her intentions on Jan. 16 — the start of the filing period for City Council races.
