Dallas Girl's Death Triggers Pleas for Peace as Gang Shootings Terrorize Community

A day after a summer crime wave claimed a Dallas girl among its latest victims, her neighborhood was reeling while clergy and community activists called for peace.Nine-year-old Brandoniya Bennett was to begin school next week, but now her family will be laying her to rest instead."When one family hurts, we all hurt. The whole community hurts," said Maurice Ash, an activist with daughters of his own.
