Collin County Judge Keith Self has opted against a campaign to replace longtime U.S. Rep. Sam Johnson.The 64-year-old Republican said Monday that being in Congress would not be the best fit for him, since it would take years to build the seniority needed to be a major player."I didn't think it was a good fit," Self told The Dallas Morning News. "I don't want to be a 66-year-old freshman."In January Johnson, the Plano Republican, announced that he was retiring from Congress after his term ends in 2018.
