Dallas police and firefighter associations blasted city leaders Thursday after negotiations to save their troubled pension system collapsed."The city of Dallas and its management has turned its back on us," said Dallas Police Association President Michael Mata. "We have been lied to. We have been conned. We have been misled."While Mata called for the city to come back to the negotiating table, the sharp rhetoric signaled that the weeks ahead could get ugly politically.
