15-year-old Shoots Driver in the Face Before Car Crashes Into Rowlett Resident's Yard

A teenager shot a driver in the face and neck during a scuffle inside a car in Rowlett Sunday night, police said.About 9 p.m., police were called to the 4000 block of Tradewinds Circle, near Lake Ray Hubbard, to investigate a shooting. They found an SUV rolled over on its side in someone's yard.The 15-year-old suspect had fled.The driver and his female passenger were taken to a hospital. Police did not say how badly the two were injured.Shortly after the shooting, police told residents in the area to stay in their homes while officers searched the area for the suspect. Police said just before 10 p.m. that the suspect was in their custody.Police told KDFW-TV (Channel 4) that the spat was actually a robbery gone south.
