Best Films for 2008, According to North Texas Critics

Fresh off the Golden Globes Sunday night, the North Texas Film Critics Assocation has revealed its list of the Best Films for 2008.

In line with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, they chose "Slumdog Millionaire" as the year's best.

After careful tabulation (of 15 ballots) here are their choices:

  • BEST DOCUMENTARY โ€“ โ€œYoung @ Heartโ€
  • BEST ANIMATED FILM โ€“ โ€œWallโ€ขEโ€ (UNANIMOUS CHOICE)
  • BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY โ€“ โ€œThe Curious Case of Benjamin Buttonโ€
  • BEST Supporting ACTRESS โ€“ Amy Adams, โ€œDoubtโ€
  • BEST Supporting ACTOR โ€“ Heath Ledger, "The Dark Knight"
  • BEST ACTRESS โ€“ Meryl Streep, โ€œDoubtโ€
  • BEST ACTOR โ€“ Frank Langella, โ€œFrost/Nixonโ€
  • BEST DIRECTOR โ€“ Danny Boyle, "Slumdog Millionaire"
