North Texans tuned in to say 'Goodbye" to 2024 and "Hello" to 2025 with Lone Star NYE: Countdown to 2025 and a dazzling fireworks show over at Reunion Tower presented by Hunt Realty Investments and Reunion Tower.
The annual presentation of panoramic fireworks and tower light show, included more than 5,000 special pyrotechnic effects fired from Dallas' iconic Reunion Tower and a 259 LED light display.
Lone Star NYE: Countdown to 2025, sponsored by your local North Texas Hyundai dealer, aired on Dec. 31 from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. CT on NBC 5 and 23 Nexstar Media Group Inc. stations across six states and is hosted by NBC 5's Katy Blakey and KARK-TV's D.J. Williams live from the lawn just south of Reunion Tower in Dallas.

The Jacksons headlined this year’s celebration, honoring over 50 years of timeless sound and influence. Known as "The First Family of Music," the brothers from Gary, Indiana, originally The Jackson 5, made history with their first four singles, including "I Want You Back" and "ABC," all reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. With hits like "Never Can Say Goodbye" and "Dancing Machine," their Motown recordings alone have sold over 200 million.
Today, the band features lead vocalist Jackie Jackson, supporting vocalist and percussionist Marlon Jackson, and Taryll Jackson, son of the late Tito Jackson.
