NBC 5 Forecast: Cloudy, breezy start to holiday week with rain chances ahead

Cold front arrives Tuesday with rain and storms

NBC Universal, Inc.

Temperatures will trend warmer this week, with highs in the mid to upper-60s. Clouds will continue to thicken today with possible areas of patchy drizzle developing by this afternoon and evening.

Our next cold front pushes into North Texas during the day on Tuesday. Pockets of moderate and heavy rain will be possible along with some thunder. Luckily, all of the wet weather will move out just in time for Santa's flight on the night of Christmas Eve.

Christmas Day will be dry and pleasant with highs in the mid-60s. There will be another chance of showers and storms on Thursday with another weak cold front.

Our above-normal temperature trend will continue through next weekend and the remainder of 2024. More seasonable temperatures will return to begin 2025.
