Briana Jones-Gill is an emerging journalism student who joined NBC 5 as a news intern in the summer of 2024. Briana attends Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) and is in her third year of studying broadcast journalism. During her time at FAMU, Briana had the opportunity to work as both an anchor and executive producer for FAMU TV-20 and write and edit for Journey Magazine. After graduation, Briana plans to work as a news producer. Outside of work, Briana enjoys mentoring and serving the community. She volunteers on and around her campus to practice giving back to organizations such as The Big Bend Habitat for Humanity and Curls for Queens. She also volunteers at her public library, reading to children with learning disabilities. Aside from volunteering, Briana also enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family. Briana is a proud spring 24 initiate of The Real Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Briana was born and raised in Dallas and is thrilled to intern in her home city.
