The American Red Cross offers disaster relief and recovery assistance, emergency preparation and military family support and much more. Also, blood donors are needed. There is a severe blood shortage in North Texas. According to the U.S. FDA, every two seconds, someone needs a blood transfusion. There is no data or evidence that this coronavirus can be transmitted by blood transfusion and there have been no reported cases of transfusion transmission for any respiratory virus, including COVID-19

CitySquare Food Pantry
Food Assistance: https://www.citysquare.org City Square provides both drive-thru and walk-up service options. To continue providing food and to maintain necessary safety precautions, the Food Pantry distributes pre-packaged groceries (no client choice). There is no zip code restriction. You can access CitySquare’s Food Pantry between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday. The Food Pantry is located at the southeast corner of Malcolm X and I-30.

Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas is a children’s charity that helps children and families. They may be able to help bridge the financial gap for families facing hardship due to COVID-19. They provide funding for essentials such as rent, food and utilities during crisis.

Metrocare Health Line

Metrocare professionals will be available to assist individuals in accessing mental health services and provide referrals for other resources that may be needed.

Eviction Prevention: The Salvation Army of North Texas helps provide emergency family services to the out-of-work and the thousands of working poor who are employed but still living paycheck to paycheck. The Salvation Army provides emergency assistance to families through crisis situations such as providing one month housing/ utility payment for eviction prevention.

Tarrant Area Food Bank

Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) is the primary source of donated food for hunger-relief charities and feeding programs in 13 North Texas counties.
The Tarrant Area Food Bank has increased food distribution through its network of 330 partners by 57 percent. The RAFB has also added weekly Mega Mobile Markets to solve for the increased need in our community.
