5 Talk Street: Unstoppable Women
Each year, our station honors North Texas women for their remarkable contributions to our community by telling “Her Story” as part of the “NBC 5 / Telemundo 39 Unstoppable Women campaign and highlighting how empowerment, community, and education leads to success. Phyllis Slocum is a Principal Lecturer Emeritus at the University of North Texas and the President of the Lone Star Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Juany Valdespino-Gaytan is the Vice President of Education and Well-Being at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas.
