5 Talk Street: The Unstoppable Women Special 2025
Each year, our station honors North Texas women for their remarkable contributions to our community by telling “Her Story” as part of the “NBC 5 / Telemundo 39 Unstoppable Women campaign and highlighting how empowerment, community, and education leads to success. Sushma Malhotra is the past President of the India Association of North Texas. Adriana De Urquidi is the Vice President of the Latino Strategy Institute at The Concilio. Phyllis Slocum is a Principal Lecturer Emeritus at the University of North Texas and the President of the Lone Star Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Juany Valdespino-Gaytan is the Vice President of Education and Well-Being at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. Veronica Torres-Hazley is the founder and CEO of “Hey Chica!” and Healthy Latina Lifestyle. LaDondra Wilson is the Vice President of Social Responsibility for the Dallas Wings.
