Olympic gold medalist Hezly Rivera was honored at the Texas Rangers game against the New York Yankees on Wednesday when she threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Hezly Rivera, the Olympic champion, is renowned for her impressive, high-flying, and uneven bar routine. So, it’s no surprise that she raised the bar of difficulty when she threw out the ceremonial first pitch at tonight’s Rangers game. Meredith Yeomans was in attendance.

Hezly Rivera returned to North Texas on Tuesday and was swarmed with dozens of fans after winning a gold medal at the Paris Summer Olympics. NBC 5’s Candace Sweat has more.
