Gateway Church removed four of its elders after receiving results of an internal investigation conducted by an independent law firm into the sexual abuse claims against founder Robert Morris, a church leader announced Saturday.

The son of Gateway Church founder Robert Morris resigned this week after previously being anointed to lead the Southlake-based megachurch, the organization said.
