Robbery charges against two TCU football players were dropped on Friday after the victim said he didn’t want to prosecute, police said.
TCU senior defensive end freshman Mike Tuaua and freshman receiver Andre Petties Wilson had been charged with robbery in connection with an off-campus incident Sept. 4.
Police said the two were involved in an assault on several students and then stole the victims’ Keystone Light beer.
One of the victims was hospitalized.
But he told police he didn’t want to pursue the case and wanted all charges dropped, said Fort Worth police spokesman Sgt. Steven Enright on Friday.
TCU said earlier this week the two had cleared the university’s disciplinary hearing process and had returned to the team.
The victim's mother told NBC 5 the decision to drop the charges was his alone.

"It's his senior year of college," she said. "He's just had enough. It's his decision. He's an adult."
He had asked that the players apologize and attend anger management and alcohol abuse classes but had not received any response, his mother said.
As for his physical injuries suffered during the assault, "He still has problems with his left shoulder" but is healing, she said.
"This is him saying, 'This is a month of my life and it's not going to define me. I'm going to go on,'" his mother said.
