The University of North Texas community is remembering a star basketball player who was found dead Tuesday inside her dorm room.
Eboniey Jeter, 21, was found at Mozart Square Hall on the UNT campus, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.
No cause of death has been determined, but a university spokesperson told NBC 5 police believe it was a suicide.
Students gathered on campus Tuesday night for a special lighting of McConnell Tower.
Normally the tower is illuminated in green light to signify sporting event victories, however the student group Talons of UNT lit the tower as a way to honor Jeter.
"It is just a sad thing to see, such a young person pass away. I don't know what she was going
through or what happened, but it's just really sad," said Collins Ukpe-Chukwuka, a student who attended the vigil.
Jeter, a 6-foot redshirt sophomore from Killeen, was an all-state performer at Harker Heights High School.

This past season, she had a team-high 45.5-percent shooting average from the field, making 71 of her 156 shots. She had four double-doubles to her credit, three of them this season.
The UNT women's basketball team will hold a seperate vigil for their teammate at a later date.
