A Tarrant County College professor is headed to Houston to fly with NASA.
Raymond Benge, associate professor of physics and astronomy at the college's Northeast Campus, will board a C-9 dubbed "Weightless Wonder" for a one-day flight to conduct gravity experiments.
Benge is on one of three teams selected by NASA from more than 100 Texas aerospace scholars to take part in the Reduced Gravity Education Flight Program.
To prepare for the experiment, Benge will undergo a week of NASA training in Houston.
