Interstate 820 in Fort Worth was closed following a fiery crash involving a United States Postal Service 18-wheeler truck Sunday afternoon.
All lanes of I-820 were reopened Sunday evening after crews worked to clear the scene.
Police say the United States Postal semi truck was traveling southbound on East Loop 820 and slammed into the support columns for the the northbound U.S. 287 overpass. The truck exploded and caught fire.
The driver was killed in the crash.
Crews worked to assess the structural integrity of the Highway 287 overpass.
