A Cleburne Independent School District athletic trainer was arrested Tuesday on possession of child pornography charges.
The Cleburne-Times Review reported Timothy Huot has worked at Cleburne High School since the 1999-2000 school year.
Dallas police said they found evidence of a crime and alerted investigators in Cleburne to the situation.
Huot has been charged with possession of child pornography, a third-degree felony, and improper photography, a state jail felony.
Some of the pictures appear to have been obtained through the Internet or other electronic means. Other photographs seem to have been taken in the Cleburne area by Huot, according to investigators. Some of the pictures are considered to be child pornography, and many of the other photographs were improperly taken.
Investigators are trying to determine if any local children were involved.
"We are now in contact with our legal counsel to determine the district's appropriate course of action," Superintendent Ronny Beard told the newspaper.

"We will be cooperating with Chief Powell and his department in their investigation, and they will be keeping in touch with us as the case progresses," Beard said.
Huot is currently being held on $225,000 bond.
If convicted of both charges, he faces up to 12 years in jail and a fine of up to $20,000.
