Man Killed At Arlington Bar
Police are asking for the public's help in locating a 25-year-old man wanted on a murder warrant for allegedly fatally shooting another man in an Arlington bar early Sunday, then forcing a woman to drive him away before releasing her uninjured and taking her car. A witness told police Nam B. Tran (pictured, right) shot Austin Nguyen, 36, multiple times at a bar in the 2400 block of East Arkansas Lane. Nguyen was pronounced dead at John Peter Smith Hospital a short time after the shooting. Anyone with information about Tran's whereabouts is asked to call Det. Body Found in Fort Worth Pond
A fire department dive team recovered an unidentified man's body in a pond Sunday afternoon near Blue Mound Road, authorities said Sunday. The man's identity, time of death and circumstances surrounding his death has not been disclosed. There was no apparent trauma, police said. Identification and cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner's office.
Dallas Cop Arrested
A Dallas police officer is on administrative leave after he was arrested on domestic assault charges Sunday. He was accused of knocking a woman to the ground, handcuffing her and threatening to send her to prison. Officer Rafael Mendoza, 33, was arguing with the woman about an ex-girlfriend as they sat in a vehicle Sunday afternoon, according to a police report. Mendoza has worked for the Dallas Police Department since 2008 and will stay on leave while the incident is investigated.
Man, Woman Killed On I-30
A man and woman were killed early Monday morning when their car rear-ended an 18-wheeler in west Fort Worth, said officials. It happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. just west of Las Vegas Trail. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured. The identities of the deceased havenβt been released.
