A pedestrian was struck and killed on Interstate 635 in Dallas late Thursday night, police said.[[296994631,C]]
Police said a person was trying to cross 635 at TI Boulevard in far northeast Dallas when he was struck by a white car just before 11:30 p.m. The pedestrian died immediately.
A Dallas police squad care left the scene with a man — who was not handcuffed — in the back seat. There is no word yet if he faces any charges.
Investigators said they are trying to determine why the person was on the freeway.
All eastbound lanes of 635 were closed until just after 3 a.m. Friday.
