Fort Worth police said a driver is dead and a female passenger is in the hospital following a high-speed crash that left the car upside down.
Scott Conn with the police department said the crash occurred around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday night and the car came to a stop upside down under the Bridgewood Drive bridge on Interstate 30 westbound.
The male driver was declared dead at the scene. A female passenger was taken to an area hospital and was reported in stable condition.
Police said there were inconsistent reports on whether the car was racing when it crashed. Investigators have not confirmed or denied that.
