Emergency crews say five people were injured in a head-on collision in rural Johnson County Sunday evening. [[333941931,R]]
The crash happened in the 7100 block of Farm to Market Road 917, just east of Interstate 35W between Burleson and Alvarado.
Both lanes were shut down as emergency crews treated several people who were injured. As of 8:15 p.m., all lanes were reopened.
According to MedStar, five people were injured, two of whom were listed as in serious condition. Two helicopters were flown in to transport one person to Cooks Children's Hospital and another to JPS Hospital, a MedStar spokesperson said.
