Missing Man's Body Found in Impounded Car: Fort Worth Police

The body of a missing man was found inside the trunk of a car at an impound lot Friday, police say.

Detectives said 39-year-old Bob Brown's body was found in the trunk of a white 2002 Mitsubishi Gallant that had been towed to an impound lot in the 1000 block of South Canton Drive.

Police said Brown had been shot multiple times and his death is being investigated as a homicide.

The vehicle in which Brown was found was towed from private property March 10, according to Fort Worth Police Department Sgt. Steve Enright.

The woman who reported Brown missing March 11 said she had last seen him March 9. After she didn't hear from him the rest of the day, she called the mother of Brown's child to see if he had picked up the child from day care and learned he never picked up his child.

Police said they have not identified any suspects in the case and do not yet know a motive for Brown's killing.
