A man is in custody after a deadly shooting at a bar in Denton early Tuesday morning, police say.[[407568315,R]]
Denton police said they responded to a call about the fatal shooting at The Library Bar in the 100 block of Ave A at 1:37 a.m. and found the man dead at the scene.
The shooting followed a fight between a group of three men and a group of two men, according to investigators.
The victim was identifed Tuesday afternoon as Deandre Wilson, a former student at Guyer High School, police said.
After speaking with witnesses police arrested 21-year-old Hanyel Leon Gomez for murder, and Gomez remained in the Denton City Jail awaiting arraignment Tuesday evening.
Police said their investigation into the shooting continues.
