Crews battled a large fire in Johnson County Thursday.[[398927911,C]]
Billowing black smoke could be seen for miles in the 2200 block of Farm-to-Market 2331 Road near Godley at about 3 p.m. Thursday.
Firefighters worked to put it out nearly three hours after it started.
Several structures, vehicles and a pile of tires were on fire and there was a herd of cattle dangerously close to the flames.
There are no reports of any injuries at this time.
No word yet on what caused the fire, which appears to have charred nearly three acres.
