The official cause of death for nationally-syndicated radio host Kidd Kraddick has been released.
Kraddick, whose legal name is David P. Cradick, died July 27 while attending an event in New Orleans for his charity Kidd's Kids.
Jefferson Parish coroner Dr. Gerry Cvitanovich said Cradick died of arteriosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease and that his death was natural.
Arteriosclerosis is commonly referred to as the hardening of the arteries while hypertensive cardiovascular disease refers to the problems created in the heart by high blood pressure.
Without treatment for either, heart failure can occur.
This final result on Cradick's cause of death is in line with the preliminary autopsy report that showed he had an enlarged heart and died of cardiac disease.
Cradick was laid to rest just a few days after his death. A public memorial has now been scheduled for Aug. 15 at the plaze outside of the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
