Tuesday night, thousands were expected to converge on the American Airlines Center for the New Kids on the Block concert, which included Boys to Men and Paula Abdul.

In a statement to NBC DFW, American Airlines Center Management said, "We are currently reviewing security plans for the concert [Tuesday] night and will make any adjustments that are deemed necessary after that review. Per our policy, we do not publicly discuss specific details of our security protocols."

Texas Governor Greg Abbott tweeted a photo of the governor's mansion in Austin. It showed a Union Jack flag hanging from the second floor balcony.

In a statement, Governor Abbott said, "I am truly saddened by the horrific events occurring in Manchester tonight. As the U.K. remains on high alert, I ask that all Texans join Cecilia and me in praying for all those affected. An attack on one democracy is an attack on us all, and we must remain steadfast in our efforts to eradicate terrorists. The state of Texas offers our full support for the victims and families impacted by this tragedy."

NBC 5 has also reached out to AT&T Stadium and the Starplex Pavillion to see about any additional security measures that have been put into place there, but so far no response from those venues.
